This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The bottom has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
She sometimes thinks the voice in the back of her head is God telling her exactly what he wants. That maybe she's on the hot line Or the high wire a thousand feet above the crowd. That she'll face damnation for listening to Kurt Cobain, or having her coat hangers out of order. She is quiet and androgynous always Except for the moments when she wants to crumple someone special up in her fists and crush him underneath her heel and scream that now he'll never hurt anyone ever again.
Catch her hand on the wall, a bit of her soul rubs off on it. Scrape the invisible, ragged tear back into her skin and stroke it smooth, there, it never happened.
II.
What, you thought sanity was something you could hang onto forever?
Or maybe you can. Maybe you can think of just one day from years ago or years from now and freeze it in a plaster cast Or a dinner-table scene from the ruins of Pompeii, captured forever in smiles and words and cracking clay. Trace the lines in pins and twine and mark the moments on the wall. You can imagine a hand might break the surface one day, and it's okay to just dream in your cocoon until it does.
In a perfect world, a thousand apologies and she'd break the surface herself. But a thousand paper cranes didn't spare a Japanese girl from a brutally quiet death of cancer. Just remember, that other girl never finished. Maybe she can make it to a thousand.
III.
She leans so far out the window she doesn't know what keeps her from falling. She closes her eyes and she sees with her hands. Sensation surrounds and reaches her in some frenzied synesthesia. And she sees the wind between her fingers. She understands the thin plaster and the currents of traffic and monochrome lives and chemical burns. The floor shudders under her, and holds.
IV.
And then one day she learned to take the awful thoughts right out of her head and hold them in her hand in front of her. Mock them to their faces and watch them shrivel up like dead leaves. Throw them to the ground and grind them out under her shoe like a cigarette, and smile. She learned to write love on her own arms, and leave trauma and despair gasping in the gutter. She learned to break the surface on her own and take a breath.
Most of my courses are online this semester, so hopefully I'll have some time for additional online fun, namely, being a little more active here again. I've drawn a lot, but haven't gotten a chance to update anything.
Commissions are still open, and I'm still alive (and happy and productive), I promise.
How have you all been? Tell me of your lives. It might inspire me to reply!
I believe in making people smile, and making DeviantART a more friendly place. If you have any questions, or anything I can help with, please let me know! Even if yer having a bad day, or someone ate your ice cream.
I dispense hugs and loves like PEZ.
Here, have some more ice cream.

If you really want to thank me, you can return the favor by looking at something of mine, or someone else's, and giving them a lovely comment. Pass it along! That's why we're here, to look at one anothers' art, give feedback and improve.
This is why, I will be hiding any comments that just say "thank you for the fave" and the like - not because I hate you or don't appreciate the... gratefulness... but because that's not what my page is for.
