Description

EDIT: Decided (with said lovely stepdad's help! <3) that the focus was just... really on his face and eyes. Everything else was superfluous. So a substantial down-crop was needed.

If I had a Patronus, I think it would look just like Goliath. :) Until my lovely stepdad came along... this was Daddy. He was my father figure since I was four, when my biological father was absent or abusive. I used to have dreams about Goliath picking me up and wrapping his giant wings around me when the world got too scary...

Thinking about him still makes me feel safe. :) I know that probably sounds silly, but. I think gargoyles are angels who turn to stone in the daytime.

Also, they're DAMN METAL. SERIOUSLY. I would pay GOOD MONIES to see Goliath and :iconnathanexplosionplz: in the same room!

I am totally diggin' this interpretation of Goliath. Usually we see him with that same angry look on his face with blacked out eyes and no shading and the like. However with this version we see him get some human qualities that he usually doesn't have.

The little subtle touches like the way the light is spread across his cheekbones and the little bits of hair on his chin are just awesome.

The one recommendation I would have for change would involve his forehead and his hair. It seems to me like he doesn't have a forehead, and his face is just a mask for some hair — unless, of course, that's what you've intended. His hair also seems a little too, how should I say this, soft for a gargoyle. Unless, of course, that's also what you've intended.

Overall this kicks.
